Take your calcium to keep your bones strong and avoid osteoporosis. We’ve had that drilled into our head forever, right?
It turns out that may be bad advice. What else is new, right?
The thing is, you body needs nutrients in certain combinations. Taking a single supplement by itself is rarely a good solution. The same is true for calcium.
Now they are finding that people who take calcium supplements without the Vitamin D and Magnesium needed for your body to properly absorb the calcium have calcium deposits in their arteries where it can cause a blockage.
Make sure that your are supplementing your calcium with either diet, sunshine, and exercise, or taking magnesium and Vitamin D along with it.
