Eat foods low in purine which increases uric acid levels. Nuts, eggs cheese, pasta, chocolate, ice cream, citrus fruits, coffee, low fat dairy, yogurt, wine, salad (just not spinach),
Avoid – beer, hard liquor, iron rich foods, purine rich foods –
Processed meat, red meat, pork, seafood, poultry, cauliflower, kidney beans, lentils lima beans, mushrooms, oats, bran, peas, spinach, asparagus, sugar, grains, fortified cereals.
