Green beans with almonds

 

This one is so simple. Green beans with almonds is an easy way to dress up a simple dish without adding a bunch of extra calories.

 

Cook French style green beans according to package directions, or steam fresh green beans for about 15 minutes. I use fresh green beans. Drain completely.

Add butter and slivered almonds.

 

I like to very lightly salt them. Pink sea salt is great on green vegetables.
