Vanilla Pudding

Here’s a sweet treat that you can whip up with stuff you probably have on hand.

1/4 cup sugar

3 Tablespoons Cornstarch

1/2 teaspoon salt

2 cups milk (2% will work fine)

1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract

Put sugar, cornstarch and salt in a medium size saucepan. Over medium heat, gradually whisk in milk. Cook for about 5 minutes stirring constantly until thick.

Remove from heat and stir in Vanilla.

Pour into individual serving dishes.

Put plastic wrap on the surface of the pudding.

Chill for at least 30 minutes.

You can top with a few berries, or some caramel…

You can mix in sliced bananas during the cooking and make it banana pudding.

When I was growing up, we didn’t do the plastic wrap thing. The pudding would always have a skin on it. We loved it.
