Its raining. Its going to rain all day. It would be easy to slip into a funk, right?
So how do you keep from getting into a depressive state and ruining your day?
One way is to find things you are grateful for.
I am grateful for my calm, clean home where I can relax and refuel.
I am grateful for my delicious cup of coffee and how the warmth feels going down my throat.
I am grateful for the quietness where I can regroup.
I am grateful that I have good food to eat.
I am grateful that I know how to cook and make wonderful food.
I am grateful that there is no place I need to be today.
I am grateful that my car runs.
I am grateful for all of the beautiful flowers that are blooming this year. They are huge!
I can find probably 100 things to be grateful for if I try.
The thing is, gratitude puts you in a different state of mind. You can worry about all the things that are wrong and let that drag you down, or you can focus on all the things that are good.
Try finding things you are grateful for and see how much better you feel.
