Woman with HeadacheMy daughter is already a casualty. You’re running around, not eating right, not getting enough sleep, and BAM – you’re sick.

That is the last thing you need right now.

To be your best you must –

Eat 3-5 servings of vegetables and fruits a day

5-9 is better. You need those nutrients to stay strong! It’s not as hard as you think. Here’s how to easily get your 5-9 servings of vegetables in every day >>>

Take your vitamins –

We don’t eat as healthy as we should. Not even me. Taking vitamins helps you insure that you are getting all the nutrients your body needs to stay strong. Remember that supplements are meant to supplement a healthy diet, not replace it.

Stay hydrated –

Water flushes toxins out of your system. If you do have mucus, water will help keep it thinner. Your brain and muscles need water.

Get enough sleep –

You know how much that is for you. For me, it’s 7 hours. I can function on 6, but I’m dragging by mid-afternoon. Some people can do 5. Others need 8 or even 9. Remember that sleep is when your body repairs and rejuvenates. One of the key factors in weight gain is not enough sleep. You naturally crave carbs to manufacture the energy that you should have gotten if you had slept enough.

Do you have a bedtime ritual?

I do a final sweep through the kitchen and make sure it’s clean and ready for me to face in the morning, and the coffee will be waiting for me.

Then I take my shower and stuff. I squeegee the shower walls and wipe down the sink when I’m done.

Then I lay in bed. I either read the Bible, or journal, or listen to a relaxing subliminal for a little bit. Once I turn out the light, I’m usually out within minutes.

We have a tendency to put our own care last, but that doesn’t serve anyone. We need to take care of ourselves so we can better take care of everything else. Make sense?

Did you notice that a big part of my bedtime ritual is setting me up to have a good start the next morning? That is the focus of the new free mini-course – Wake Up in Control. You’ll learn how to take control of your day so you’ll be more productive, less stressed, and have more energy.  You should sign up now.
