House Cleaning Workout

We are in this cold holding pattern. UGH! I want to be outside.

I truly dislike February. It seems to go on, and on, and on… Cold, dreary, blah!

So here’s why I like starting Spring Cleaning in February –

First, it lifts your spirits. Clean and shiny is always a good moral booster. It feels so much better!

Second, it gets you thinking about spring and getting outdoors. That’s why you want to start spring cleaning now, so that when it gets warm – you are free to play!

Third, it gets you off your butt.

Lets face it, during the month of February you’re sitting on the couch binge watching, eating and napping.

Start your February Spring Cleaning Workouts Slowly

You don’t want to jump right into high intensity cleaning when you’ve been sitting and eating for the last couple of months. You want to start out slowly to avoid injury.

Low intensity house cleaning would be things like –

  • washing figurines
  • organizing drawers
  • empty and clean bookshelves

Medium intensity house cleaning would be things like –

  • organizing closets and getting rid of things
  • vacuuming under and behind stuff like beds, refrigerators and couches
  • going thru the Spring Clean Your Kitchen Series

High intensity house cleaning would be things like –

  • cleaning ceiling fans and light fixtures
  • washing ceilings and walls

Ah yes, High intensity cleaning has it all – climbing, stretching, squatting… Make sure you do some stretches before starting your high intensity cleaning.

Spring cleaning is good for mind, body, and soul.

Just take it slow and do a little at a time.
