It sounds crazy, doesn’t it?
I don’t allow myself to go to bed unless the kitchen is clean.
I wipe down the bathroom every night.
But the reason I do these things is because I’m lazy.
I don’t want to spend the weekend cleaning, and I certainly don’t want to be scrubbing anything.
This way, I spend a few minutes doing easy work to avoid hours of work later. I hardly ever have to scrub the stove top or the bathroom. I’d rather do swish-swish-done anytime. Wouldn’t you?
The dinner brain drain…
I make sure I have something planned for dinner. This way I don’t have to rack my brain trying to figure out what to pick up. Plus, there isn’t any good food within 15 minutes from here. And any of that food is going to leave me feeling lethargic.
I’d rather eat my own cooking.
But I keep my meals simple. I rarely spend more than 30 minutes to get dinner on the table. If you’ve tried any of the recipes inside, you know how simple they are! And pretty tasty if I do say so myself.
And fresh, healthier meals will leave you with energy to do things instead of melting into the couch.
I keep my hair short. Wash and wear. No real effort required.
I fold and put away the laundry as soon as its done so its done, and I don’t have to worry about wrinkles or retumbling.
So you see, most of what I do may seem crazy, but its all designed to avoid harder work… because I’m actually pretty lazy.
So hopefully now you understand my mental process a little better. I really am not a slave driver. I really am making your life easier.
So, login and get to work! 😉
