Get things back in order

Are you tired of living in this pandemic limbo? Waiting for that magic moment where we can be free again?

I know I am.

And I’m so sick of my mental attitude. “Yeah, I’ll do that later.” Turned into a bit of a nightmare.

But this week, something changed. It was like a switch was flipped.

I have been so productive this week, its crazy!

Christmas stuff is put away. Got the oil change. Caught up on a couple of courses I’m taking. There are a couple of new email courses in the member’s area for you. Bills paid. Shopping done.

You know, I said my theme for this year is “Do Better.” This week that translated into “Just do it now!”

Every time I was tempted to put something aside, I just said, nope – do it now!

We can’t change what’s going on in the world, but we can change what’s going on in our home to a large degree.

Sometimes we just need to give ourselves a swift kick in the butt.

And a good ‘to-do’ list.

You should have a hand written list of things you intend to accomplish each day. Scientists say that handwritten is more effective. It travels different pathways in the brain. And it feels good when you can cross items off your list with flair.

But only put a couple of extra things on your list each day. We have our daily to-do stuff. You don’t want to feel overwhelmed. Be realistic.

For me, today was shop and get gas. Yesterday was get the oil changed before it gets cold again. Now that is in addition to cooking, dishes, and such. Doesn’t sound like much, but at the end of the week – it all adds up!

Seriously, you can have steak, baked potato, and a tossed salad for $5 – $6 per person. You can’t eat McDonalds for that.

And when you finish the steak dinner, you’ll have energy. When you eat the McDonalds, you feel lethargic. At least I do.

You have to specifically sign up for each course. I’m not going to load up your emails with stuff you may not want.
